From our Todber valley , Bowland fell , south Lakeland leisure village(only 50 minutes away ) and Haven lakeland accommodation you can get to Blackpool in just over an hour! To point you in the right direction for a great day out ,We have put together our top 5 to do list.

Blackpool Tower

You can’t come to Blackpool and not visit the famous tower, over 125 years of history under one roof. A place with something for all the family to enjoy! From visiting the ballroom, famous to where ‘Strictly come dancing’ is filmed on Blackpool week. .

To watching a show at The tower circus , visiting the Dungeons and Blackpool eye to get the best views of the area all under one roof! This is just to list a few of the activities on offer at the tower – check out there website to book and find out more information!


The Pleasure Beach

Home to one of the most famous rollercoasters ‘The big one’ . For the ‘Thrill seekers’ out there the Pleasure Beach has 10 rollercoasters to give you that adrenaline rush. for the younger members of the family to enjoy there’s ‘Nickelodeon land’ aswell as a mix of rides which all the family can enjoy together, making the Pleasure beach the perfect family day out! .


The Sandcastle Water Park

The largest indoor water park in the UK! With over 18 water slides and attractions in 84 degree climate. From white knuckle slides such as the ‘side winder’ and ‘Master Blaster’ too ‘Treetop adventure’ slides racing other members of your family, too just relaxing round the lazy river! There’s something for all ages to enjoy!


Blackpool Zoo

Is home too many different animals from elephants ,Giraffes, Big cats , sea lions ,monkeys reptiles and birds to just name a few. Throughout the day there is shows and feeding times for you to be able to watch.. Experience days can be bought to get up close and personal with you’re favourite animal! Or even become a keeper for the day! There are play areas, various cafes/restaurants around the zoo and a gift shop to get souvenirs from. The perfect day out for all the family.


The Illuminations

Lastly but not least ,after a day at one of Blackpool’s tourist attractions ,why not visit Blackpool’s famous illuminations a free 6 mile light show! If you didn’t want to drive thru them, park up and walk some of them ,Grabbing doughnuts and a hot drink or fish and chips as you pass! The perfect end too a day in Blackpool. The illuminations are seasonal and usually run from September for 66 nights.. we recommend checking online to avoid disappointment if wanting to see them.
