Roanhead beach is a sandy beach with large areas of sand dunes situated three miles north of Barrow-in-Furness. The beach is within the Sandscale Haws Nature Reserve.
Strong currents make it unsuitable for swimming but the sand dunes and coastal scenery is very good for walks with your four legged friend, Roanhead Beach is fully dog friendly all year round.
Pay & Display car parking is available and seasonal toilets at the Sandscale Haws Nature Reserve car park.
