Situated in Bowness on Windermere, a 35-minute drive from Haven Lakeland, Is the World of Beatrix Potter, a family attraction, bringing to life the recreation of Beatrix Potter’s stories.
Start your journey with the history of Beatrix Potter, the English author and illustrator and the inspiration used behind the most famous story “The Tale of Peter Rabbit”
The exhibition includes favourite characters from 23 stories- such as Jemima Puddle-duck, Peter Rabbit, Mr Tod and Johnny Town mouse to list a few. As you walk through the attraction, it will feel like you are walking through the pages of her famous books.
The attraction is not just indoors there is also “Peter Rabbits Garden” to walk around, which will bring to life the cottage gardens you see in Beatrix Potter`s illustrations. The garden also consists of traditional fruit, vegetables, flowers and herbs which she would of grown in her own garden.
