Williamson park (Lancaster)

Is A 17 minute drive from South Lakeland leisure village and a 45 minute drive from Marton Mere Haven.



Williamson Park is home to the Ashton Memorial and 54 acres of parkland, from woodland walks , play areas and the butterfly house there is something for all ages!


Admission.


Admission to the Ashton memorial and grounds are free – charges apply for other attractions at the park.


Mini zoo

The mini zoo is home to meerkats , mini beasts and marmosets come and meet them during your visit. ( extra charges apply)


Butterfly house

An Edwardian palm house , home to a wide range of birds and butterflies ! Guided tours are available to book. Fully wheelchair friendly. (Extra charges apply)


Pavilion cafè and shop.

Fully licensed- with a range of wine beers and ciders.

Sourcing produce locally – the café serves a range of breakfast and lunch snacks with a range of vegetarian and children’s options available.



The Ashton Memorial.

The Ashton memorial was commissioned by Lord Ashton as a tribute to his late wife. Designed by Jon Belcher in 1909.At approximately 15 feet tall- it provides spectacular views across Morecambe Bay to the Lakeland fells.


Car parking.

Williamson park has two pay and display car parks for visitors to use.
